You cannot simply imagine the great fun Sungkai River can offer. Situated one hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur, this fascinating place provides wholesome amusement plus the experience of thrill you would wish to spend with your family and friends.
This activity is more fun for those who have no whitewater kayaking experience but looking for challenging adventure and great physical workout. For the first timers, there are fun facilitators who will guide you to learn basic kayaking skills as you slid down the river in two-seater inflatable kayak. A little of your guts is needed here to go through this unique adventure and not fear to swim in rapids.
The single or double inflatable kayaks do not enfold the paddler and very stable in the water. Though you will be maneuvering the kayak yourself, the guides provide support for safety and lead you down the river. In contrast to rafting, inflatable kayaking will add more adventure if you want to acquire skill.
To have total relaxation you can go to several hot spring pools in Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park located near Sungkai. You can also discover the Trolak Country resort there which is famous for team building activities.
For those who have no experience yet, the two-man kayak is a tough adventure yet full of fun to learn. The skills you can acquire here include reading the complex river channels, steering, and paddling your kayak.
How much it will cost you?
The entire adventure will only cost you RM190 per pax with a minimum of 4 pax and maximum of 10 pax.
Itinerary: Schedule of Activity
09.30 am – The guides will meet you at Sungkai Toll Plaza.
10.00 am – You should be at the base point and drop off vehicles. Then get aboard in transport to the starting point.
10.15 am – Gear up for kayaking and there will be short briefing for safety.
10.45 am – The real fun begins.
12.45 pm – End of your first kayaking round and time to take your lunch.
02.00 pm – Aboard another transport to starting point for second round of kayaking.
04.00 pm – Time for clean-up and change. This is the end of the whole package.
Take note that the time listed here are approximations and itinerary may vary. Sometimes the guides will recommend re schedule or change ac activity if the water level is not suitable during the event.
Among the inclusions are the guides, safety equipment, and meals excluding photography and insurance.
You should bring with you extra clothing, towel, sunscreen, insect repellant, torchlight batteries, toiletries, water sports shoes, strapped sandals, and medications. You can bring your own mealbox.

Your trip form Kuala Lumpur to Sungkai is around an hour long. You can go north to Ipoh on PLUS highway. Look for Sungkai Toll exit 128. You can also try to arrange for land transfer from KL to Ipoh upon your request.
